As we have discussed at every renewal, there is very little we can do at the Agent level other than look for discounts and coverage changes, which we have done for you. Unfortunately, there is no way to push or fight corporate to adjust your rates as they apply to everyone, including me and my team, based on broad economic factors such as weather, increasing accidents and cost of repair. Unfortunately, State Farm, along with most other carriers are restricting Kia's and Hyundai's that do not have the Push Start option (Passive Engine Immobilizer). Losses on these vehicles are up over 1800% and they are one of the largest segments of insured vehicles. We communicate this upfront with all our customers and while the manufacturers are trying to patch a fix, it is not reducing the risk.
